Instructions for Authors

            The text book format for the 2nd International Conference on Africanized Honey Bees and
Bee Mites will be 8 1/2 X 11 inches.  Please adhere to the following when formatting your paper(s)
on disk for publication.

1. Prepare your text using MS Word or Word Perfect, preferably the former.  Save as RTF format
    if using MS Word, using Bookman 9 point with 12 point leading.

2.  Provide a 3/4-inch margin on all four sides of your text.

3.  Photos should be scanned as black & white TIFS and placed in a separate folder on the disk.
    Or include original photos.

4.  Graphs and figures should be done using M S Excel and placed in a separate folder on the disk.
 

DISK: (Include the following when submitting your article for publication)

        On your disk there should be three folders - one for the word document, one for TIFS, one
for  EXCEL documents. Along with the disk please submit a hard copy with approximate placement
of photos and charts indicated. We will do our best to place photos, charts and graphs as you
have instructed.

            Please bring a hard copy of your paper along with a floppy disc with the paper on it to
the Conference.  This will speed up the publication process for all.
            Lastly, when presenting your paper at the conference please plan on a 15 minute presentation
and allow 5 additional minutes for discussion.  With the full program we have this will be the only time
for meaningful discussion.
